ABOUT THE PATIENT CARE TOWER PROJECT
- Phase I includes the construction of a new patient care tower with two levels of underground parking.
- Construction on Phase I is expected to begin in fall 2018 and be completed by spring 2022. At this time the PTC is expected to open for patients.
- Phase II includes renovations to the existing hospital building.
- Phase II construction is expected to be completed by 2024.
- The capital budget for the project, including both phases, is $417 million
ABOUT INTERIOR HEALTH RESPONSE TO COVID-19
- When a case of COVID-19 is confirmed, Interior Health public health will work quickly to determine close contacts and will contact parents/guardians of students who are considered to be at risk.
- Interior Health has restricted visitors to healthcare facilities. Currently, only essential visitors are allowed.
- Interior Health updates a list with the locations and times of known possible exposures to COVID-19 to the public.
