Interior Health Communications Plan

In order to better inform the public about the ongoing pandemic COVID-19, the Interior Health communications team will release a series of blog posts regarding this topic. This is an important matter as COVID-19 cases in the Interior Health region are increasing, and properly communicating with one of our biggest stakeholders which is the general public, will help build trust and most importantly educate the public on proper strategies that can help decrease the spread of the virus.

As part of the communication strategy, Interior Health will make use of their owned media outlets. Moreover, blog posts will be focused solely on COVID-19 topics which will be included as part of the Interior Health website as well as social media outlets used strategically to reach the different age segments. Content such as images, videos, and illustrations will be created by the communications department and will be revised and approved prior to the use of them on media channels.

Content will be optimized for each social media outlet and will be posted 3-5 times per week. Following is a base calendar that will be used for the following weeks.
